School Supplies & Backpack Day
Help a Child Start School Right!
Your donation will bring a big smile to low-income Sunnyvale children getting ready for the new school year. On Backpack Day, each child will receive a brand new backpack stuffed with age-appropriate school supplies, plus a $40 gift certificate for a new pair of shoes to start the year on the right foot.
Our online Backpack Drive is open! This is the easiest way to donate. Just click here and your donation from a pre-selected assortment of what we need most will be delivered directly to us. We also welcome in-person donations of new school supplies for grades K-12. Please download this flyer and bring your donation to Sunnyvale Community Services on Monday - Friday, from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. If you have a question about donating or would like more information, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Would you like to volunteer?
Packing backpacks is a very popular volunteer opportunity and we rely on our wonderful in-house volunteers and corporate groups to organize, pack and distribute the backpacks. The best way to volunteer with backpacks is to assist throughout the year on our food distribution program or have your company sign up for a food packing day. Thank you to our major donors!
Founded in 1970, Sunnyvale Community Services is an independent, nonprofit emergency assistance agency. Our mission is to prevent homelessness and hunger for low-income families and seniors facing temporary crises. We provide financial aid, food, and other support that prevents larger problems with more expensive solutions.
