Planned Gifts and Bequests

Make a difference today and tomorrow

Sunnyvale Community Services (SCS) helps families and individuals rebuild their lives when they are at risk of homelessness or hunger. Your legacy gift will be a stepping stone to a more secure future for SCS so we can create more secure futures for the people we serve.

Retirement Funds

Leaving money to SCS from an IRA, 401(k), or 403(b) can be as simple as filling out a beneficiary form. Links to online forms for several financial institutions are provided below; check with your plan administrator if your institution is not on the list.

Wills & Trusts

If you would like to make SCS a beneficiary of your will or trust, please download our Sample Language document to help you specify your intentions as you work with an attorney to complete your documents.

Life Insurance

There are multiple ways to transfer funds to SCS through a life-insurance policy, including naming SCS as a beneficiary, adding a charitable gift rider, and donating the policy. Please contact your insurance broker to explore these options.

Already designated a gift to SCS?

We would appreciate knowing about any planned gifts you have already designated. Please fill out this form and send it to us. Thank you for caring about the welfare of your Sunnyvale neighbors!
